In February 2021, World Business Academy Sustainable Vision I, LLC, a nonprofit charity, acquired the Deer Ridge Golf Course. In the coming months, we hope to begin long awaited upgrades to the clubhouse – envisioned as a center for the community including dining, event space and an educational center, according to the long-term goals of our Sustainability Plan.

In the meantime, we want to open the approximately 195-acre grounds of the Deer Ridge Property to area residents for recreational use!
We’ve also heard from many community residents that it would be nice for the property to be reopened; and in the early mornings and around dusk, we’ve seen a number of individuals walking on the property, or using it to exercise, push a baby stroller, bicycle, or walk pets.
Today, technically, all these individuals are trespassing. “What?” you may be asking, “that doesn’t feel right!” Well, we agree! And we want to make it possible for these individuals – and others like them! – to enjoy the property!
To do this, we’ve come up with a way for regular folks to enjoy the property legally, respectfully, and to reduce the chances of misuse that would be a nuisance to those living within the community and have the potential to degrade this beautiful neighborhood – Welcome to the Deer Ridge Trails Club!

We’ve worked with a group of area residents to come up with some common-sense rules of conduct and land use, and on November 20, 2021, we plan to reopen the property for community access under a membership arrangement, completed through a simple online registration.

Family memberships are only $5.00/month for all residents of Deer Ridge or Shadow Lake; only $10.00 per month for all other families living in the City of Brentwood; and $40.00 per month of all other persons.

WE INVITE YOU TO

To ensure the property is used responsibly, members and their guests must adhere to the posted Code of Conduct and will have to sign a Standard Liability Waiver. Membership does not convey ownership, voting or other rights of membership in our organization; it identifies those who have agreed to the terms of use of the property and have paid the specified membership fee.

While we are certain the property can be made even more beautiful once acceptable reuse plans are approved, it today provides a natural amenity and the trails system running through it are an asset that we believe should be enjoyed. Accordingly, until approval of our Sustainability Plan enables us to repair the irrigation system and upgrade the property landscaping and trails, we want to create an opportunity for its use by area residents.
